About Us

Welcome to the Lake Barcroft Boat Sharing Program! Our mission is to make boating more accessible and affordable for residents of Lake Barcroft, a community of over a thousand homes on a beautiful, wooded lake in Falls Church, Virginia. Our program is designed to promote community engagement and the sustainable use of Lake Barcroft by our homeowners.

We believe that boating is a wonderful way to explore the lake, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends. We also recognize that not all homeowners in our community have the desire to own one or more watercraft, and that boat ownership can be expensive and inconvenient.  Boat sharing also makes it easier to take guests out on the lake for a paddle.

Our program provides members affordable and convenient access to a fleet of shared boats. Members of the boat sharing program can access boats stored at three of Lake Barcroft’s five beaches. We offer our members access to a variety of boats, including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards.

In addition to providing access to boats, our program also promotes safety and environmental stewardship. We encourage everyone to follow responsible boating practices. We strive to minimize our impact on the lake's ecosystem.
